OLEDB (Object Linked and Embedded Database)
OLEDB is Low Level Data Access Technology addressed to replace ODBC.
In OLEDB there are term OLEDB provider able to be compared to ODBC DRIVER [at] ODBC
OLEDB and ODBC is different technology in some cases is as follows:
- OLEDB is the technology base on COM.
- With OLEDB we can open connection to all Database, don't only limited to structured and ISAM database such as only can be done by ODBC, but OLEDB data access also able to on file in non structured database.
